Greg Francisco
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP)
Why the War on Drugs Was Never Meant To Be Won

Greg Francisco is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, a graduate of the USCG Maritime Law Enforcement Academy and a former federal law enforcement officer. He served off the coasts of Boston, MA and Key West, FL, intercepting drugs and undocumented aliens as well as enforcing other federal laws and regulations.
After leaving the Coast Guard, and based in large part on his experiences, Francisco became an outspoken critic of the War on Drugs and Prohibition as a drug control strategy. In his speech, he will highlight some of the underlying rationales for an ongoing War on Drugs, the fundamental flaws that ensure that it will never end and draw parallels between the 35 year old War on Drugs and today's War on Terror.
